This page covers website visitors, enquirers, guests and newsletter subscribers. Caravan owners should also read our Owner Privacy Notice.

2. Information we collect

  • Identity and contact details, such as your name, email address, telephone number and postal address.
  • Booking and stay details, including dates, chosen property, guest numbers, messages, preferences and information needed to provide an accessible or suitable stay.
  • Payment and transaction details. Payments may be handled by our booking and payment providers; we do not normally receive your full payment-card number.
  • Communications you send to us and records of customer-service conversations.
  • Technical and usage information, such as IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed, referring source, security logs and cookie choices.
  • Marketing preferences, including whether you asked to receive or stop receiving updates.

We usually receive this information directly from you, through this website or our communications with you. We may also receive booking information from a platform you used to reserve a stay, such as Airbnb or Booking.com.

4. Who we share information with

We share only what is reasonably needed with categories of recipient such as Lodgify and other booking technology providers, payment processors, booking channels, email and cloud service providers, holiday-park operators, cleaners or maintenance contractors where needed for your stay, professional advisers, insurers and public authorities where required by law.

Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where required, we use an approved transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy regulation or appropriate contractual safeguards.

5. How long we keep information

We keep information only for as long as needed for the purpose collected and to meet legal, accounting or reporting duties. Booking and accounting records are normally retained for up to six years after the relevant transaction. Routine enquiries are generally kept for up to two years. Marketing records are kept until you unsubscribe or we no longer need them, although we may retain a minimal suppression record so we respect your choice.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files, and similar technologies may store or access information on your device. Our banner lets you allow, reject or customise non-essential technologies.

7. Marketing

Newsletter sign-up is optional. Where consent is required, we will use your details for marketing only after a clear opt-in. In limited cases the law may allow us to contact existing customers about similar services if we offered an opt-out when collecting their details. Every marketing email should identify us and provide an easy way to unsubscribe.
